How to Make Pizookies
Being home during quarantine offers a great opportunity to master new skills in the kitchen. Cooking can be super relaxing, and baking desserts has become my new favorite lock down activity. Pizookies are large cookie dishes that were named for the hybrid of a pizza/cookie: the pizza shape and cookie deliciousness. Here is my go to ~lazy~ recipe for a tasty pizookie dish:
Ingredients:
Cookie dough, oil spray, small cast iron skillet (I used a 6.5”, click for link)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F
2. Prepare the cookie dough (aka pull Toll House out of the fridge)
3. Spray the cast iron skillet with olive oil to make sure pizookie doesn’t stick
4. Evenly spread cookie dough in cast iron skillet
5. Bake until edges are golden and crispy (~20 minutes)
6. Let cool for ~10 minutes and top with ice cream!
Ta-da! A delicious dessert!
